Day 5 of gratitude

Today I am grateful for the quiet moments alone with my camera.

Yesterday evening I re-shot the family session that was basically rained out a couple weeks ago. The family of 5 met me at the park near my house and we soaked in the sunshine, fed the ducks, and I snapped pictures non stop trying to capture smiles and eye contact with the camera which was nearly impossible. The bi-polar weather of our year has continued through fall, from rain and in the 60's Sunday to sunshine in the 80's yesterday. I was drenched in sweat by the time the shoot was done. Shooting families with young children is hard work, my hat's off to those of you that have mastered this task. When we called it a day and said goodbye I took a much needed moment to myself and shot these pictures. They just remind me that when the hard work is over I need to take a moment and be still and feed my passion.

Wishing you moments alone to feed your passion today.

  1. So glad the shoot went well, and I can only imagine how hard it is to photograph young children. Glad also, that you got some "you" time to capture these gorgeous shots!
    Have a great weekend.
