The theme for February at {in the picture} was "write-on." We were supposed to incorporate words in our photos. I pretty much just added them in after the photo was taken. I am getting more comfortable with taking selfie's and utilizing any alone time I have to set up my tripod and find my remote. It's been a lot of fun so far, and it's not too late to join in!
In other news I just got back last night from a 3 day trip to Albuquerque for work. It wiped me out. Super early mornings and a hard hotel mattress equals Kim in Zombie form. I'm glad to be home, got my Starbucks and I'm going to catch up on some blogs while the washing machine does it's thing. Then, hopefully, before I go pick up the boy from preschool I want to get a little reading in. I went ahead and bought the first of the Hunger Games book for the flight home and finished half of it. Everyone was right, it's good. I'm jumping on the bandwagon late, as usual, but I'm riding it all the way!
Happy Friday all!
I love your photo - you are very brave! I would be afraid I was going to get hit by a car:) Thanks for stopping by my blog!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE this photo. I love that the color of your sweater matches the color on the bottom of your sneakers :-) I just finished the first of the Hunger Games. I'm always a day behind the fades of everyone else but I eventually catch up!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photo
ReplyDeleteI like your Middle Of tHE Road photo. Everything is right about it. Things like the camera down low but the horizon is high. The road has a curve in it rather than being straight and you have a very casual look that is away from the camera lens.
ReplyDeleteOoh, I love this photo--so daring! You look so relaxed and the setting is gorgeous.

I love this photo- I'm going to do a few more out & about self portraits in the next few months.
ReplyDeleteHunger Games is compelling isn't it?- my 12 year old got the first 2 for Christmas and we both read them in just a few days each so we had to read the third as well- now we're just waiting for the movie!
This selfie is great...owning the road. It's spunky. Hope you find some time to finish that book. I've never heard of it, so you are on the bandwagon well before I am.
ReplyDeletei LOVE this photo! great composition and perfect words to accompany it. thanks so much for linking up at {in the picture} today!
ReplyDeleteI so love this shot! I found that self portraits are so empowering. Ohhhh...and it must feel good to be out of that cast!
ReplyDeleteVery nice image. I still have to work on mine, but after moving inspiration got lost somewhere on the way.
ReplyDeletei love this! i'm guessing this was not a busy road? i hope not!
ReplyDeleteglad you are home and no longer on the road... well, except in this shot, that is. =)
I like how the road curves in the background. It curves one way and you are looking the other way. Very pleasing to the eye.
ReplyDeletelove the pic...very creative! oh...i also jumped on the 'hunger games' bandwagon late & now i'm on the last book...enjoy, they are great!
ReplyDeleteI love your picture! Very nice lines and lighting.
ReplyDeleteAnd yup, the Hunger Games is great - can't wait for the movie next month!
Love this shot! The lighting is stunning.
ReplyDeleteIsn't this project amazing? The way it stretches and challenges us to go beyond? Very, very cool.
I love the name of your blog!

ReplyDeleteLove this image, beautiful photo and great words. You've inspired me to brave up and attempt some out and about shots. :) I'm hearing a lot about the Hunger Games...must check them out (even later on the bandwagon!!).
ReplyDeleteNice shot! I really love the golden tones and processing you did.
ReplyDeleteBooks 2 and 3 of the Hunger Games are even better than the first, if you can believe that! :)
