FX Camera

Yes I'm a slacker, blah, blah, blah. Haven't been shooting much, haven't been doing much till this past weekend I went on a trip with the folks and my son to the coast. I did take a few pictures, mostly of my boy laughing and running in the waves. I'll get a few posted from the trip soon. For now I just thought these were pretty cool. I'm really enjoying the FX Camera ap on my DRIOD. The phone doesn't have the worlds best camera built in but with the ability to convert your photo's into Polariod, Toy Cam (my fav,) Fisheye, and Warhol styles most any picture can turn out really cool.

Shoe-tastic!

I don't know why I'm always drawn to BLACK shoes! Even in spring/summer I gravitate towards them in the store and in my closet. Simplicity I suppose, the shoes I do have in color and print don't get worn often. Here are the fun feet fashions I picked up at Nordstroms Rack last week.

I know I have been seriously neglecting this blog for quite sometime, not that anyone reads it or cares. It's been somewhat of a creative-free month what with travel for work, a very sick baby, getting my will (that was sobering) taken care of. Even with the inspiration of the sunshine I haven't made the time to do much but take care of the necessities of life. I did find time to do some shoe shopping, the sunshine did inspire me to purchase some new sandals for spring/summer. Nordstroms Rack shoe department is a very dangerous place for me to be. I'll take some pics of my finds and post them soon.

A month for reading...

I wouldn't call myself a reader. I don't normally do much reading unless I'm on vacation or have time to kill on a plane. With a long day of travel planned for work I made a call out to friends for some good reading material and wound up with these two books in my carry on tote. I read "Little Bee" first and very much enjoyed the hopefulness and beauty seen through the eyes of the tragic character of Little Bee herself. Well written and easy to read, I'd recommend it to anyone that enjoys poetic style writing. I didn't start "Bitter is the New Black" till I was half way through my flight home. It had a bit of a slow start for me but once the character goes through the major life change I was cracking up. Several laugh out loud moments in this book and I will definitely be looking to read more from Jen Lancaster.

Baby, Baby, Baby...

I had the rare privilege of some free time yesterday and headed over to Amy's for another photo shoot with Noah. Unfortunately he wasn't on board with our plan. He was fussy. Sometimes that's just the case with little ones! He did give us a brief moment of non-crying so we took advantage and here are the results. I'm loving the new lens now that I've had some time to really play with it. (Nikon 35mm 1.8, super cheap!) I'm also playing around with what I should call myself if I ever do make a business out of this. Thoughts?

Drumroll Please........

Finally posting the pictures from last weekends shoot with Claire. I had a blast, learned a ton, and began to scratch the surface of the enigma that is photoshop. I even purchased a "Photoshop for Dummies" book but I think I need a "Photoshop for infants" version. Thank God for fellow photographer friends with a lot more knowledge and a willingness to share (thats you Dave!) Anyway, hope you enjoy these! Your comments are appreciated. I can't wait for the next one!
