G.G. went to heaven early this morning.
There is a bittersweet celebration in my heart. My grandma was ready to go home and be reunited with her loved ones in the presence of her Heavenly Father.
This will be the 3rd funeral for my family this year. We all have different ways of dealing with death. It's such a personal thing to process. In a situation like my GG where she's lived a long and fulfilling life and has suffered for years while her body outlived her mind it's easier for me to accept it as a good thing and celebrate her deliverance rather than mourn her loss. Her memory remains in each of us that love her.
I'll always remember her stylish leopard print 60's glasses and her schnauzers.
Kisses GG. Say hi to Grandpa Stan.
I am SO sorry lady! it is bittersweet...we dont want to let them go but when she's lived a long full life there's so much peace in that.
