And it was all yellow....

We've been blessed with sunshine this week and I've been busy eating it up with a spoon. Early evening walks, a day trip to SF, first dip in the pool
(the boy did not me that water was ice cold!)

I know technically they are just weeds,
but I couldn't resist the field of yellow blossoms.

I spotted a couple splashes of red in the sea of yellow too.

Devin is SO GOOD to keep Elijah entertained
while I get lost for a moment with my camera.

Best boyfriend ever. Balancing on a fence wire...boys are so creative.

I love Tuesdays

We're finally getting sunshine! I can't wait for tonight, Devin is coming over after work and we have a walk on the agenda. I can't wait to feel the sun on my skin and my hand in his while I search out the beautiful details surrounding us.

Weekend wrap up

A weekend full of sweet snuggles and sweeter kisses, crazy downpours and coveted sunshine, healthier choices and quality time, special moments and memory making, relationships growing and love reaffirmed. The warmth in my belly from this weekend will get me through the work week. Thank God for a weekly forecast with out rain!

Shabby Apple has SO MANY cute vintage inspired dresses, shoes, skirts,

and yes...even baithing suits. They carry a nice range of sizes which is fabulous for those of us that don't fit into the size 2-6 range. There's a collection of adroable Bridesmaid dresses and even some darling dresses for a stylish princess.

I am so going to treat myself with one of these pretty's from

my wishlist as soon as I drop 10lbs.

Oh and a tip...don't pinterest when you're on a diet. WAY too many yummy recipies!

VINO!

Another great thing about living in Northern Cali is we're surrounded by beautiful wineries that create some of the worlds best vino.

I pass a huge winery every day on my commute into work and we're anywhere from

15 min to an hour away from hundreds more.

Beautiful scenery and yummy red wine.

Yay.

Amidst the storm and kids dress up play on Saturday some friends and I made a pit stop at a quaint winery in Lodi. I'd sampled a few of their wine's at Zinfest last summer, was impressed, and have been wanting to check out the winery for a while.

D'art didn't disappoint.

Friendly staff, laid back atmosphere, free tastings, and oh so yummy!

I will be returning!

HORRAY!!!

Well we did it. After months of tears and frustrations and messes my boy has at last decided he will be a big boy after all and USE THE POTTY ALL THE TIME! I finally got the tip that did the trick and I am overjoyed. Amazing how what determines your happiness changes when you have a child.


So, as promises, we headed to Target yesterday to get his reward. Yes, I spoil him.






My son does NOT need another train, but he wanted the Dinosaur Train because he liked the hitch. He's a funny boy.





I told him how happy I was that he was using the potty, he told me how happy he was that he now had his Dinosaur Train. Oh happy house!

No luck

I don't believe in luck. I DO believe in blessings. Have a blessed St. Pattys Day.

Auto Art

We took a ride up to Reno last weekend for a detour and checked out the auto museum. These aren't cars...they are works of art! If you're a vintage car lover, or even if you just like shiny chrome, it's a great place to check out.



























Devin asked if I could choose one which would it be? I had a hard time but I have to stick with my 57 Chevy Bel Air. It may not be the most unique in the bunch but it's been my dream car for too long to choose another. Although Lana Turners 41 Chrysler Newport was tempting me for sure. He said he'd take that silver 39 Benz 230cabriolet, if you're gonna go extravagant GO BIG!

Sick of being sick

This is like the 4th cold in a row, or maybe the same one that keeps coming back. Either way I'm OVER IT. I am so glad for puffs, but even with the lotion infusion my nose is raw and sore from the constant blowing. I know I shouldn't complain. My minor case of the sniffles pales in comparison to what so many are enduring right now. I just had to whine. I'm done now.

Up the hill

We packed up our snow gear and headed up the hill for a weekend in the snow.







Snow ball fights, slightly frightening rides on the sled, eating ice cycles, sinking knee deep in the slush, sipping and hot cocoa, and movies by the fireplace.
