This year no excursions to Mexico or Hawaii...instead my folks took their trip with my aunties and uncle's to Shastina and I stayed home with my boy. I went into this week with big ideas about potty training and trips to museums in San Francisco, perhaps a couple photo shoots...all the things I use work as an excuse not to do. About half way through day two of potty training I came to the conclusion he's just not ready. The war isn't over but this battle had to end before I lost my mind! I also gained a new appreciation for the gift of my parents taking care of my son every day while I work. I always do when they take off, but age three is no joke when it comes to having your patience tested. We had a lot of fun spending time with friends, lot's of pool time and ice cream treats. Pretty sure I gained about 5 lbs this week but that's what vacations are for right? I did allow my boy to get behind the camera, which he enjoyed to the fullest (gotta be like mommy.) He got to use my point and shoot digital and once he got the hang of waiting for it to take before he pointed it at the ground he actually took some decent shots! Ha! This is really cool! The one with the fountain is really good! Gotta love a 3 year old's perspective.
