Forrest flowers

These surprised me.

Scattered through out the pine trees were these beautiful blossoms looking like they belonged somewhere tropical. I love them. Hence the multiple photos of them.

 It's been a while since I've been on a walk in nature with my camera and these were by far the most vibrant and lovely thing I found so we spent a little time together and I am happy we did.

Lobster here...

I've returned home from our camping trip to Lake Francis so tired, so dirty, and SO SUNBURNED. Seriously I'm 35 and I still think I can spend an hour on a paddle boat with no sunscreen and not get scorched. It's official, I will never learn.

My thighs are on fire.

We had a lot of fun. Got some much needed down time. Soaked in some serious beauty.
Two thumbs up for the church camping trip! I can't wait for next year.

Missing my space

I miss this little space o' mine. I miss being inspired to capture the every day beauty. When the wedding planning madness ends I'm settled into the new chapter I want to do another 30 day photo project. I've totally failed on the self portraits lately. Maybe, just maybe, this weekend I will get a moment alone with my camera. Fingers crossed!

I had the opportunity to second shoot a wedding a couple weeks ago. This awesome window was just a little taste of the coolness that oozed all over this venue. It was an eye opening experience and I learned a lot. Thank you Dave!

I shot a boudoir session last weekend, so much fun! I probably won't be posting many of those shots when the edits are done though. "For his eyes only" and all that.

So that's what I've been up to outside of crossing things off the long wedding "to-do list" and hitting the gym like Jillian Micheal's is after me. I can't believe the wedding only 3 months away! I'm so excited.

Elijah has left the building....

Kristin and J part 2

You may (or may not) recall my last shoot with this adorable couple. We squeezed it in right before my ankle surgery and about half way through the shoot that wonderful ankle gave out on me and I fell. Kristin and J insisted we stop and I insisted we book a re-do when I was healed up. Well we finally got that re-do and I couldn't be more pleased that we did. These are two of the sweetest people I've been privileged to know, it's no wonder they fell in love with one another. I think their love for each other shines through in these photos.

No matter how good I am during the week, or how hard I work out at the gym, every weekend there is some delectable temptation I just can't refuse.

Saturday it was this bad boy.

So NOT on my diet, but absolutely worth every calorie. I better work out twice tomorrow.
