Kara Senior Portraits

This was my first photo shoot after surgery. It's been over 6 months since my last shoot!

Needless to say I went a little overboard. I mean come on.
A gorgeous girl, a beautiful setting, wouldn't you?
Thank God Kara was patient with me as I had her traipsing all over that property all afternoon.

 

 

Beyond the fun I had with my camera 

I sincerely enjoyed getting to spend time with this lovely young lady.

Just like her mom, whom I've known for years, 

she is sweet and fun and kind-hearted and obviously beautiful.

Whew... Venue booked, Photographer booked, Caterer booked, Photo booth booked. Wedding plans are coming along and I now know why people hire this planning stuff out.

I'm super excited though. It's going to be an amazing day!

When the stress of wedding planning and work ridiculousness and getting gym time in and scheduling photo shoots and ____________ (fill in the blank) gets me to feeling like I'm going to snap, this little boy reminds me that every moment and every detail is precious and worth taking in.

He cracks me up.

 I'm up too late editing photo's from last weekends senior photo session with Kara.  I have got to get to bed...but had to share a couple with you before I do.  Isn't she lovely?

Field of Baaaaa

I pulled over on the side of the country road home on Friday evening to snap a couple photos of this field full of adorable sheep. It didn't take long for the cute sheep dog to run up on me barking his head off telling me to get to steppin.  He was taking his job seriously.

He actually hopped a portion of low fence so I scooted back to my car with a quickness.

Milk Farm

Beautiful sunshine, adorable kids, and the foul smell of cow manure. 

Hands were licked by baby cows and kids learned a bit about where their milk comes from. 

Of course when I asked E in the car on our way home what was his favorite part of the day? 

"When the cow pooped."

Wonderful Wednesday

I took today off to join E on his first field trip.
We're headed to a farm today with his preschool class, camera in hand, I can't wait!

A pretty big day

I know Easter was a week ago but after the day was over I needed time to re-coup.

This Easter was kind of a big deal.

The kids at church were darling as usual. Singing on stage complete with hand motions. They all looked like little Easter outfit models straight out of the catalog while they hunted eggs.

















This year Devin offered to host the celebration at his place, which would bring our families together for the first time. I had no worries about how our families would blend. The first time I met his family I knew right off the bat they were much like my own and our families would mix well.

It was more the pressure of getting the place decorated, cleaned, obtain all the requirements to host a party of 20, and have tasty hot food on the table at once that had the both of us working hard for days. The day went off beautifully.























We celebrated all the wonder that is Easter as well as two birthdays and the joining of our two families. Words can't express how excited I am to be a part of Devin's family and see my own grow with the addition of so many amazing and beautiful people. We missed those that couldn't be there but there were smiles and hugs and loves and just a small taste of the celebration to come at the wedding.

A big day, a good day, and plans are in full motion for THE REAL BIG DAY!

Super Hero

He's living in his Spiderman costume these days. On one hand I love watching his imagination and getting my money's worth out of it. On the other, I'm not taking Spidey to the bridal shower in his hole ridden costume.
At least that battle didn't last long.

Did you have a wonderful Easter? Our whole weekend was jam packed and full of fun. I am so beyond worn out from it. I'll share some photos once I'm caught up on some sleep. Hope you're recovering from the candy induced coma. ;)

Spring Break

Since E is off school this week I took the day off and picked up one of his buddies for a play day. We ended up at the zoo where the boys enjoyed spotting animals and burning off some of their little boy energy. Yeah, there were animals and they were cute but these two boys won my attention over and over.
