Monday Blossoms

The signs of spring are all around.

Hope these beauties help brighten your Monday.

Joy of love catch up

At this point my goal is to get them all done before the month is over. I guess working 10 hour days doesn't really allow for a pic a day project. Lesson learned. :)

Day 18: Going out.

The instructions were to "get a sitter" and go out on the town. Well if and when I do that I don't take my camera. It's a little bulky to fit into an evening bag. But we do go out on walks a lot and I love that I'm able to follow behind shooting away.

Day 17: Staying in.

Day 15: Kiss & Day 16: Together (self portrait)

I'm doing a combo platter for day 15 and 16. When Devin came to pick me up on Valentines day I had my camera set up in the entry way with tripod and remote. No way he was getting out of my photo shoot trap.

Day 14: Wedding band/jewelry. I was going to take a picture of my mom's wedding ring. But I couldn't find it, then I never got around to it. I guess since I don't have one (yet) I'll just skip this day.

Day 13: Routine.

First thing in the morning I stumble to the cupboard containing his sippy cups to make him a nice, cold cup of strawberry milk.

Day 12: The eyes. They are a work of art.

Hope you're all having a wonderful weekend!

Makena

So, can you handle more cutness? You sure?

Little Makena is the niece of a VERY dear friend of mine. She gave the gift of a photo shoot to her brother and his lovely wife for their new baby girl. Makena was 6 weeks at the time of the shoot and OH SO TINY!

She's already a daddy's girl. It was so cute to see her face light up for him.

This amazing bassinet has been in the family for like 100 years, it had to be apart of the shoot. Every princess needs one of these right?

I just couldn't get enough of her little crooked smile. Adorable!

These are my favorites, mom had to take a break to feed her baby and I just snapped a few while she filled her tummy. I love that foot, little tuft of hair, and perfectly tiny ear.

Can't wait to hold her again!

Araiya Zoe

I had the pleasure of taking portraits of this adorable little cutie pie a couple weeks ago. Araiya has the sweetest cheeks I think I've ever seen. Her big sister was excited to help out and model for a few shots as well. Mama Danniel, you have two very sweet girls I am so glad I got to meet and photograph.

Here are a few of my favorites....feast your eyes on all the sweetness!

Scene's from a Funeral

We flew to Spokane last weekend to attend my Uncle Ron's funeral. As far as funeral's go it was pretty amazing. Memories were shared, tears were shed, lingering hugs were frequent. It felt so good to be reunited with my long distance family. I wasn't totally sure about bringing my camera but I'm so glad I did. It's me, it's what I do. In times like these you want to give something to help ease the pain of loss, but really there isn't anything you can give except your hand to hold. I guess I hoped I could help with the gift photographs.

So I snapped away.

My cousin asked me ahead of time to "get in position" when they presented the flag to my aunt. It was a moment he wanted captured and I did my best. It was by far the most emotional moment of the service. I've never actually been to a funeral where the trumpet plays Taps. It was so powerful and beautiful.

I love you my Family. I love you Uncle Ron. Say hi to Jesus for me.
